HDR Simon-Heyman, 4mm Dia. x 20mm L x 250mm (10/Pkg)

The Simon-Heyman Afterloading Applicators are used in the treatment of endometrial cancer.  These applicators are a disposable item and intended for single use only.  Each applicator has a radio-opaque marker in the tip, a stainless steel oburator, and is individually numbered.  There are 10 applicators in each package.  Color variations for capsules are due to the material.  These applicators can also be used with Iridium-192 ribbons with active lengths of 20mm. 

There may be some scatter in CT from the stainless steel screw in the applicator tip.  Remove obturator before CT.

HDR connections to the Simon-Heyman applicator is 15ga which is the same size as prostate needles. The source depth is 250mm from end to tip. 

Irdium 192 ribbon can be inserted into the 15ga tubing. End can be secured by heat sealing or crimping a S.S. sleeve on end. Item #'s 903-120 (S.S. sleeve), 903-122 (crimping tool) and 903-123 (cutter).
